About Engines for World

Engines for World is a South African business supplying imported engines and gearboxes to workshops, fleets, and private vehicle owners. We're based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, and registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC registration 2024/223223/07, Enterprise Number K2024223223).

We built this business around one idea: buying a used engine or gearbox shouldn't be a gamble. Too often, buyers are asked to pay for a unit sight-unseen, with no real information about its condition and no way to confirm it actually works before it's installed. We wanted to do that differently.

Every engine and gearbox we list is inspected and function-tested before it goes up for sale — not after you've already paid. We publish the real engine code, fitment details, and compatible vehicle makes for each listing, so you know exactly what you're buying. If we're not confident in a unit, we don't list it.

Whether you're a workshop replacing a customer's engine, a fleet manager keeping vehicles on the road, or a private owner tackling the job yourself, our goal is the same: give you an honest, tested unit and straightforward service, from the listing page to delivery at your door — or collection from our Gqeberha premises.
